Michael Tonkin-Jones 

Director / Performer

Michael is an actor and director from Cornwall. He a started working with the company in 2017 and is now a partner. Mike trained at East15 drama school and Aberystwyth University and has been working in theatre for over 15 years.

He has a wealth of experience and is forever stepping into different roles; more recently he has created and toured independent work, such as his 2018 show Hyde and Seek, Assistant Directed Trifle Gathering’s Endless and performed with Pipeline Theatre in Spillikin: A Love Story.

Mike has predominantly worked with Coppice as a director, having directed Science Adventures, Tales From A Haunted Bookshop and Jack Frost 1, 2 and 3. He has also written stories for Coppice, dramaturged scripts, lead workshops and created unique and innovative tech for each show.
